Hi Everyone im new at this i need help on installing FMCB. I tried to follow the Noobie Package But it didnt work. I have a modded PS2 model SCHP-90006 NSTC-J The Instruction in the Noobie Package.

Say You Only Need: - A Boot method for the installer [Click Installation Tab Above -] DON'T KNOW WHAT THESE MEANS! - PS2 - A Usb Flash Drive or USB HDD (FAT32) and the Files (INSTALL folder and the freecmboot elf file) I put the files on my root of the usb HDD/flashdrive but when i inserted it on my PS2 and push reset button nothing change. I can't see the FreeMcboot [Version 1.8] on the screen and uLaunchedElf it seems like it didnt read the file or something. I really need help please i want to put Codebreaker 9.2.2 Cheater/Cheat on my Memory Card so i can activate codes on games. Rover Diaz - Facebook roverski_12 - yahoo messenger tnx. I really want to install FMCB so i can also put Codebreaker on my PS2 Memory Card.

I hope they can find other ways or Steps on install codebreaker to ps2 memory card without using FREEMCBOOT because i cant launched uLe/FreeMcboot elf if it is confirmed that your PS2 has a bios 2.30 (up to 8C), and yours is modded that supports booting DEV1 (the memory card), you can put it on your MC (renamed renamed to BOOT.ELF), using uLaunchELF recorded on a cd, and every time you use the codebreaker. To avoid both work for example with the cd ule you can check the bios vesion.

Or even install fremcboot. Fremcboot try to install correctly if it does not because its really not compatible.

I am glad to say that I have been successful at booting CB from a USB drive. CH_launch.elf on memory card CodeBreakers.elf on thumb drive Boot into FMCB(1.8b) with disc tray open uLaunchElf Close disc tray Navigate to CodeBreakers.elf on thumb drive Start CodeBreakers.elf Select game and cheats start game(For me it was FFXII) ESR beta r9 splash shows up Game starts This sounds like a fairly normal session except for the stuff with the disc tray, which I don't see the purpose of.

With everything properly configured you should be able to have the disc tray closed from power-on to the end of your session. I see no reason to open it at all. Your problem is probably that you have configured FMCB to prioritize disc booting, instead of booting directly into uLE, which is generally more useful (it's also what I always do). The only drawback of this is that if you do want to boot a disc directly without seeing uLE, you have to press a button during the boot (one configured for the FASTBOOT option). But personally I always boot into uLE anyway, and then launch disc with the 'MISC/PS2Disc' command of uLE which I have on a shortcut button.

(NB: That command also auto-invokes ESR if the disc is an ESR-patched backup) Best regards: dlanor. Ok I just started this whole softmod thing on my PS2.this is the site that I installed it from.

(I hope posting a link to a site is ok if not I will edit my post).I setup everything on my MC started to do this tut (the one we are on) found that I had no ESR direct dvd boot file so I searched on the net for it and found this. It confused the heck out of me so I didnt try it but I got the file from the downloads at the top. I read this tut again and did everything that it said started up the patched CB file (not sure if it works or not) and about 4 mins of blackscreen later it starts up EXTREMELY slow (from black screen it takes about 1 min to get to full color) and stops at the point that it says 'get MORE game' with a blue backround. Can anyone help me out with this.
