Windows

How to select driver? If you are looking for an update, pickup the latest one. If your driver isn't working, use the driver having the same OEM with the your laptop/desktop brand name.

I am trying to get a USB to Serial cable installed on Windows 7 (64-bit). Radio Shack Model: 26-949. The cable works fine in XP. I have tried Radio Shack, FTDI, Prolific drivers, but to no avail. Youtube spartacus blood and sand. When I try to load the drivers, it does not recognize the device.

When I plug in the device, instead of comping up as a COM port, it shows up as 'Other Device USB-Serial Controller'. I have completely restored Windows (re-formated hard drive, re-installed Windows), but none of the drivers I have found will work with Windows 7 (64-bit).
